Volunteer – Community Events

Community Events – Promoting services and engaging with the community. This role is on hold until further notice due to Covid 19 but you can still register your interest below.

The Role involves:
As a Community Events Volunteer for NOPA you will be supported and supervised by our Business Manager who will provide you with work to complete such as :

• Representing NOPA at Community events such as school fetes, community carnivals and fairs.
• Setting up and tidying up stall – gazebo, folding table, chair.
• Sharing information, facilitating activities, undertaking consultations, asking for donations.
• Recording simple monitoring information (counting interactions, taking details of people who want to be contacted) promptly providing information to NOPA.

Experience/Skills required

• We are looking for volunteers who may have extensive experience and have some spare time as well as those people who need to develop their skills and confidence.
• Literacy, Numeracy and Basic ICT skills.
• Availability at weekends.
• Enthusiasm and interpersonal skills are required.
• Access to car or ability to drive would be helpful.

Requirements
We require volunteers to undergo DBS and comply to policies and procedures, in particular Confidentiality and Data Protection.
